Inside the Mind of M.C. Escher

MC EscherI've always been amazed with Escher's work. Trying to draw it when I was kid...needless to say, they never turned out how I wanted, but I made it my own. The Museum of Science is running an exhibit with hands-on activities, that invite visitors to explore some of the optical phenomena that so fascinated Escher, such as tessellations and sphere reflections. These repeating patterns are classic Escher — as is his self-portrait in a reflecting sphere, which he drew at various points in his life. After you see Escher's 1935 "Hand with Reflecting Sphere," you'll have the opportunity to try it yourself.

We suggest you check it out. The exhibit runs until January 1st...so you have sometime, but we all know, that time sneaks up on us.

For more information visit Escher's page on the Museum of Science. There is time information and ticket prices as well.
