About Michael DiMella

michael dimella photoThank you for visiting me here at 23 NEIGHBORHOODS: a boston real estate blogI created this site to relay news and advice to my clients and other consumers in the Boston real estate market while at the same time providing a local's perspective on Boston and its 23 unique neighborhoods.  So if you subscribe by email or by RSS feed, you'll get my local take on the BEST CITY ON EARTH!

About me:

I've been in the real estate business since 2001 (my junior year at Boston University), and along with my partner, P.T. Vineburgh, started Charlesgate Realty Group in 2003 soon after I graduated from BU with a Masters Degree in Economics.  I hate to throw the phrase "real estate expert" around indiscriminately but I suppose that's what my clients pay me to be - and I feel it's MY JOB to BE their expert.  To me, being an expert is a never-ending learning process, and I work hard at that every day.  So far, I've been lucky enough to be selected as one of the Top 30 Under 30 Realtors in America in 2008, and I'm often interviewed by reporters in publications such as The Boston Globe, The Wall Street Journal, Banker & Tradesman, and the Boston Business Journal.  I have also appeared on various TV news and radio programs in the Boston area.  Between me and my team at Charlesgate Realty Group, we've helped over 2700 happy customers (buyers, sellers, and renters) reach their real estate goals in the past 6+ years.  Nothing makes me smile more than seeing their words of appreciation!

I love real estate, and I love Boston.  Simply put - there's no greater city in the world.  I love great food and restaurants, I love wine (and shockingly I am slowly but surely becoming a beer lover!).  I love LOCAL Boston businesses.  I love sailing (though I'm a rookie).  I love hockey (playing, not watching).  Congratulations to my alma mater Boston University Terriers on their 2009 NCAA Hockey National Championship by the way!    And I love a hell of a lot more than that, but I'm quite sure you've had enough of me already! ;)

Thank you for following me on Twitter and subscribing to my blog (hint...hint)!  You can also find me on Facebook and LinkedIn.  Hopefully we'll get a chance to meet up in the REAL WORLD someday soon!
